Vinx and the Groove Heros

We’ve known Vinx forever.

He’s a musician, an artist, a performer and a teacher. He also happens to be a lot of fun to hang out with.

After years on the road as a solo performer, Vinx has gathered a group of musicians from across the world that are combining jazz, soul and, well, everything else into a concept that they call the Groove Heroes.

We were invited up to their shake down performance in rural New Hampshire, USA to meet the band, capture a few interviews and enjoy a house-concert. This is part of an EPK that we put out helping to promote their first European tour.

Yoko Miwa (yokomiwa.com) is an amazing jazz pianist and composer we met through a mutual friend.

She invited us to tag along to Scullers Jazz Club in Cambridge Massachusetts to capture an intimate evening of both original and interpreted music.

We somehow managed to squeeze 3 cameras and two operators into the very tightly packed sold out night club, and and proceeded to record and edit this fascinating cover of Aerosmith’s “Seasons of Wither” from her 2011 live album “Live at Scullers Jazz Club”. Enjoy!
